
APPRENTICES OF THE YEAR 2008
At ABC Golden Gate Chapter's graduation ceremony that was held October 18 in our new Training Facility, ABC’s Unilateral Apprenticeship Committees and the Training Trust Trustees presented three apprentices with the prestigious title of APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR in their trade. In order for any apprentice to be a candidate for this top honor they first must be nominated by their employer. The nominees are judged and evaluated on their performance in the following areas: evaluation from employer, grades – the average grade for the year, classroom attendance, submission of monthly timecards in a timely manner and they can not have disciplinary actions against them. Each apprentice is scored and must meet a minimum to qualify. This year’s winners were presented with an engraved pitcher, and a cash prize.
