Recognition and Awards will be handed out at the Apprenticeship Graduation on Saturday, October 18, 2008. This year the committees are planning to honor an Apprentice of the Year in the following trades:
- Carpentry
- Electrical
- Laborer
- Painting
- Plumbing
We encourage you to nominate an apprentice currently dispatched to you or an apprentice that was dispatched to you during 2007. Please submit your nominee for 2008 Apprentice of the Year in writing and include a completed Apprentice Evaluation form to the ABC Golden Gate Chapter office on or before
September 26, 2008.
- Must be currently active in the apprentice program and have completed a minimum of 1,000 hours On The Job Training as a registered apprentice.
- School attendance records and grades
- Reliability on the job-work habits
- Safety Awareness
- Adherence to rules and regulations of the apprenticeship program (no disciplinary actions re: timecards, school etc.)
- Would you employ this person in your company once he/she graduates from the program?
Please state in your letter WHO you recommend and WHY. Please be as specific as possible in your documentation.
