Approval to Train Apprentices:
A contractor approved to train apprentices is a Contractor licensed in the State of California who agrees to employ the apprentices where they obtain on the job training. Contractors approved to train by the Unilateral Apprenticeship Committees are required to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and are responsible for jobsite safety.
Davis-Bacon and California Prevailing Wage Compliance:
Apprentices hired by an approved to train contractor in this program qualify as apprentices with regard to both Federal and California Prevailing Wage laws.
