CONTINUING EDUCATION 
ABC Golden Gate is dedicated to providing education and training throughout the careers of the construction workforce. Because the construction industry changes and becomes more challenging every day, constantly training and educating your workforce is essential to staying ahead. ABC Golden Gate is constantly looking for ways to help members keep pace with this ever-changing industry by offering continuing education classes. These classes are developed based on input from the our membership as well as licensing requirements and code changes.

Make ABC Your Educational Resource for Certification Renewal - ABC’s continuing education classes are accepted by the state towards meeting the 32 hours renewal requirement for Electrical Certification. All certified journeymen must complete 32 hours of continuing education in their trade prior to their three year renewal date.

OSHA #500 - Trainer Course in OSHA Standards for Construction

This course is designed for those who are interested in teaching the 10-hour and 30-hour construction safety and health outreach classes to employees and other interested groups. Special emphasis is placed on those topics that are required in the 10-hour and 30-hour classes as well as on those that are the most hazardous in the construction industry, using OSHA standards as a guide.  


Solar PV Design & Installation

Course 500...provides 40-hours of training for those seeking employment in the solar industry, as well as construction trade professionals wanting to add solar to their business. This course enables completers to take the NABCEP PV Installers exam.

This course is designed for construction workers, foremen, job supervisors, and anyone involved in the construction industry. Upon successful
completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA 10-Hour Construction course completion card. 
 

Temporary Traffic Control & Flagging Training

Our Traffic Control & Flagging program incorporates the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets & Highways and covers warning sign placement, proper fundamentals of flagging moving traffic and signaling directions used by flaggers. Completion of Training Cards are issued after students pass a competency evaluation.
