The Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) is offering 14 regional seminars to help construction contractors comply with mandatory affirmative action steps.
Executive Order 11246 requires contractors to implement 16 affirmative action steps on federal government contracts worth more than $10,000. The seminars being offered by the OFCCP will explain the proper way to document efforts to meet these requirements.
In addition, OFCCP is partnering with DOL’s Wage and Hour Division to offer two regional Prevailing Wage Conferences in August and three more in September. These conferences will address the Davis-Bacon Act; the McNamara O’Hara Service Contract Act; and how to comply with contracts funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
Both sets of seminars are free, but space is limited.
