ConsensusDOCS, an industry-wide collaboration of 22 leading construction associations that publishes consensus standard contracts and forms, Nov. 10 released the Green Building Addendum. The ConsensusDOCS 310 Green Building Addendum is the first industry standard document to address the legal uncertainties associated with green building.
The Green Building Addendum will help identify project participants’ roles and responsibilities and is appropriate for use on projects with green building elements, particularly those seeking a third-party green building rating certification. It provides a contractual mechanism to clarify objectives, and assign roles and responsibilities to achieve them.
