Recipients of funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) are required Oct. 1 to begin entering data about their projects on the federal stimulus tracking website,
FederalReporting.gov. The initial reporting period ends Oct. 10 and the final reports will appear on
Recovery.gov.
Those who need to register include prime recipients, or organizations that received funds directly from a federal agency either in the form of a grant, a loan or a contract, and sub recipients who received funds from prime recipients. If the prime recipients are reporting on behalf of the sub recipients, then the sub recipients do not need to register.
In order to register, contractors will need an email address, a Dun and Bradstreet Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number, and their Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Prime and sub recipients can register for their CCR at
http://www.ccr.gov, and can request their DUNS number at
http://fedgov.dnb.com/webform.
The first reporting period will include data gathered between the date when the funds were awarded and Sept. 30 and each subsequent reporting period will require cumulative data.
ABC is offering a webinar Oct. 26, “
Tapping Into the Stimulus Money: The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act,” designed to help ABC members better understand ARRA-funded work and the reporting requirements. The webinar will provide a general overview of federal contracting and how firms can successfully beat out the competition, particularly those entering into federal work for the first time. The webinar will address the opportunities, obligations and pitfalls of federal government contracting work and provide an understanding of the obligations associated with it.
