ABC MERGERS CREATE CHESAPEAKE SHORES AND NEVADA CHAPTERS (01/06/2010)

Two mergers between ABC chapters went into effect Jan. 1, bringing the total number of ABC chapters to 77. The ABC Chesapeake and Eastern Shores chapters merged to become the Chesapeake Shores Chapter, and the Las Vegas and Sierra Nevada chapters merged to become the Nevada Chapter.

The Eastern Shore and Chesapeake chapters were two of the first four chapters founded by ABC in 1957. Combined, they serve more than 300 members companies. The new chapter will have a main office in Annapolis, Md. and an additional office in Salisbury, Md.

The Sierra Nevada and Las Vegas chapters were founded in 1976 and 1981, respectively, and together serve more than 200 member companies. The chapter will be headquartered in Reno with a Southern Nevada Regional office in Las Vegas.
